Pastor Tony Balistreri - 7th and 8th Grade Bible
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical studies from the Baptist College of Florida in 2005. I am married to Rita Balistreri and am father of an Awesome Isabella Christine Balistreri. I am a full time Children's Pastor at Harbor Light Community Chapel and called to Children's Ministry; not youth, not senior, but Children's for life - it is a calling and passion. I am also the Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach. My God is first in my life and a very close second is my wife and family. I look at family time as the most important time in my week. Without my family I cannot do what God has called me to do. My passions are flying, riding my Harley, skiing, snowboarding, shooting, and just trying not to grow up!! mrt@harborlight.org

Rachel Klevorn – High School Chemistry, Physics, and Math
I am originally from Buffalo, N.Y., but have lived in Boyne City for the past 26 years with my husband Kevin. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Cellular Molecular Biology and my teaching certificate is from Central Michigan University. I teach part time because my full-time job is wife and mom. Our 4 children Joshua, David, Daniel, and Elizabeth attend (in Josh and David's case, attended) Harbor Light Christian School. Our 2 oldest, Joshua and David, now attend the University of Michigan.
I am delighted to be able to teach in a Christian school after having taught in Boyne City High School, and short-term in Alanson, Petoskey, and Wolverine. The staff and students who desire to live out their Christianity on a daily basis make Harbor Light a great place to be.

Ralph Knapp – World History, Geography, Civics & Economics, Sociology, Bible, Guitar
I was born in Petoskey as what was then, Little Traverse Hospital. I grew up in the state of Michigan. I attended church schools as a youngster and graduated from Cedar Lake Academy, a church supported high school. I was drafted by the selective service into the U.S. Army and served two years, most of that time as a medic in a unit assigned to transport the sick and wounded.
After serving in the Army I attended and graduated from North Central Michigan College in Petoskey. I then attended Central Michigan University and graduated with a BS in Education. I taught at church schools in Ann Arbor and Sault Ste. Marie before coming to Harbor Light Christian School. I also attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, for two summers and have an additional twenty-two hours in religion. While living in Ann Arbor I attended Eastern Michigan University, working on a Master’s Degree.”

Debbie Ledingham – AP Advanced US History, American Government, Civics & Economics, English, Literature, Language & Composition
This is the 26th year I have taught at HLCS. My favorite classes are US History, American Government and Literature. One of the best opportunities at Harbor Light is being able to chaperone Mission trips. Teachers are able to mentor students – helping them learn to evangelize and appreciate other cultures. Sharing our faith and discipling students is a privilege that I don’t take for granted. Having my grand children here at HLCS is a blessing from God. As the students hide God’s word in their hearts, it affects their actions and decisions. Christian Education is very important in creating Godly citizens who will stand up for righteousness in our world. delddl@yahoo.com
