Secondary Curriculum
The same standards are used to choose Junior and Senior High curriculum as elementary curriculum. In addition to using books from Christian Publishers, we do use some general textbook publishers. If a non-Christian text is used, strict guidelines are followed in the evaluating of these texts before they are approved by the HLCS curriculum committee. Since teachers have an awesome responsibility in teaching any curriculum, HLCS staff must be well- grounded in God's Word so they can evaluate ideas according to His Word.
Testing
10th Grade – PLAN test
11th Grade – PSAT, MEAP tests
12th Grade – SAT, ACT tests (at Community College)
