Curriculum: Elementary
Every day time is spent singing songs of
worship, reading the Scriptures, learning Bible verses and studying the
wonders of God’s creation.
We use the phonics based A Beka and Bob Jones curriculum for our
Language Arts program. Even before Kindergarten students learn a variety
of “special sounds” that help students read, write and spell. Spelling
begins in first grade with words that use the special sounds. Fourth
through sixth grade spelling words use advanced phonics rules, prefixes
and suffixes.
Every subject is approached with a Biblical perspective. When learning
about fossils, students learn about how the flood formed many of them.
When learning about different countries; students learn how God made
everyone special and unique. Whether the subject is math, geography or
spelling students study God’s way of viewing the world.
